From our pals at the “Friends of the Venice – Abbot Kinney Library“:
What’s left in life that’s FREE these days?
Well a library card for one! With that, many things are FREE at your library.
You know you can check out books; did you know you can check out DVDs, music CDs, and Books on Tape or even CD magazines? How about enjoying a Comedy movie night? Download e-media, e-books, videos and music from the LAPL database. Get free inter-branch book transfers for the books you can’t find and renew materials on line.
WIFI is free at the library and so is the use of library computers (with reservation), so you can search for a job online! Also, search thousands of websites on the LAPL database at the library or home on your own computer: find information about your special interests, like genealogy or mechanics.
Did you know there are Toddler, Children, Young Adult and Adult programs and an Adult Literacy Program at your library? Also there maybe weekly movies for children and adults. Check the schedules at your local LAPL branch library.
All this…plus great people. See you there!
