Top-Rated Poster Printing Services in Los Angeles

So you want a piece of promotional artwork that is eye-catching and makes a statement. Maybe you’re a store looking to announce what you’re doing on a large scale, or maybe you’re a filmmaker who wants to promote your next big picture. If any of this sounds like a great idea to you, then you should consider getting posters printed professionally.

Posters can be a great, eye-catching piece of print that can be used in a very large and grand way while also informing your audience. They’re an excellent marketing tool and are something you should do to get the word out about your business or product. If you’re looking for movie poster printing, signage, art prints, or other imagery to print in a large format, getting posters printed is the way to go – and our top-rated poster printing at our Los Angeles-based company can help. When having a poster designed professionally, there are a few things you should consider:

Use CMYK Instead of RGB

If you want a more accurate representation of what your final poster will look like, look at your design in CMYK mode instead of RGB. What do all of those letters mean? CMYK is short for the colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key. In this case, the “key” is the color black. This provides a vibrant look at how your image will be printed, as these colors will mix and match to create your image.

RGB, on the other hand, stands for Red, Green, Blue. While these combinations work just as well, RGB is a standard for television broadcasts and will not be representative of how your image will come out in print. If you’ve already designed your image in RGB mode, don’t worry. Photoshop gives you the ability to convert your images from one mode to another with ease.

Use Vectors When Designing

Vector art can be a great tool when it comes to designing your poster. Using a vector-based file format allows an image to be sized up or down with no degradation of quality. You could feasibly grow your poster design to infinite size and you would not see if the quality of your image pixelated or distorted in any way. This is why, if possible, you should use a program like Adobe Illustrator to design your poster so it can be blown up to any size without issue.

Design Your Poster at 300DPI

What is DPI? It’s short for “dots per inch” and at 300DPI, you’re ensuring you’re giving your image the highest possible resolution to ensure that your image quality stays intact. The lower the DPI, the worse the quality is going to be, which means that your poster will end up looking terrible if you go with a low-quality DPI. One of the biggest delays on any print project is due to the fact that image quality is too low. Make sure you’re using high-resolution files so your end product looks great. Your final image should be preferably a PDF file. If not, a TIFF or even a high-quality JPG will do.

Choose The Paper That’s Right For You

All this talk about posters, and we haven’t even talked about the most important part: printing them! There are plenty of paper choices to consider when getting your poster printed, which is where we come in.

As for our sizes, we offer posters in 27” x 40” and 27” x 39”, as well as popular smaller formats, including 18” x 24” and 24” x 36”.

We can’t forget about the quality of the paper. We offer posters on your choice of premium glossy paper or premium matte paper, ensuring that you’re getting a high-quality choice of paper, no matter what format it may be in. Our posters look great whether you frame them or just hang them up on the wall as they are.
