Fourth of July Fireworks 2014

A reminder, fireworks are illegal in Los Angeles. However, there are plenty of professional shows to check out this year around the southland. We’re usually at the Marina Del Rey show, and we usually head over to a certain rubber duck race earlier in the day. Full list can be seen below. Here’s a list of the road closures (hat tip venicerez in the forum).  And here’s a video that Bret shot in 2008, for a little taste of the ghost of fourths past:

Below is information we grabbed off SafeJuly4th.org, check there for the latest info.

Going to a professional fireworks show is truly the safest way to celebrate the 4th of July. The following is a list of show locations and schedules for 2014 fireworks shows in the Los Angeles County area. If any information is incorrect or if we missed any locations, please notify us by e-mail.NOTE: Shows are listed by date. More shows will be added as we confirm the locations and schedules. Please check back for updates. This site is provided as a public service. The LAFD does not sponsor any of the shows listed. We will continue to update this list with new shows and any changes we become aware of. Please check back to verify if any changes have been made to shows you wish to attend. Thank you.
