9th Circuit Court Rules City Ban on Living in Vehicles Unconstitutional

The crux of the decision is that city ordinance Section 85.02 is an “…overly broad and cryptic statute…” which lends itself to discriminatory enforcement. The case arose when the law was applied starting in 2010 by the LAPD’s Venice Homelessness Task Force.
