Thanks to our friends over at Grub Street, we heard that the 900 square foot (2,701 sq ft lot) Jin Patisserie space at 1202 Abbot Kinney is up for lease. After a few calls around town, we heard asking is $30,000 a month. According to Trulia, 1202 last sold in 2005 for $381,000. A relator also informed us that another restaurant space on Abbot Kinney recently got a new tenant that is paying $40,000 a month.
Signage confirms that the space, with its front patio, is for lease, while Jin is yet to vacate the building and plans to pursue a new location as quickly it can to re-establish this stronghold for afternoon tea, delicate desserts, sandwiches, and stunning cakes. Unfortunately, the Intercontinental Hotel in Century City also confirms that Jin is no longer serving at that location, either.
