Elite 24 Basketball Venice Beach: August 24-25

The seventh annual Under Armour Elite 24, “a celebration of streetball’s past, present and future”, will be held at the Venice Beach basketball courts this week on Friday and Saturday. Saturday’s game will be aired live on ESPN starting at 4pm. A slam dunk competition will also be aired on the 24th.

The Elite 24 features teams comprised of 24 of the nation’s best high school players. The competition was originally held at Rucker Park in Harlem. This is the third consecutive year it has been staged in Venice. Last year more than 2,500 spectators attended the game.
