An awesome day of free music was had in Venice on Saturday as the Venice Spring Fling featured Tracii Guns, Barry “The Fish” Melton of Country Joe and the Fish, Michael Jost, Corty Byron, LOONER, Marc Blackbird, Braw, Fly n Lion, Stephanie Lallouz and The Divine Crime on stage near the Venice Rec Center.

Breaking 27, a band comprised of 11-13 year-olds that was brought on as a last minute addition, stole the show with their enthusiasm. While not technically perfect, all in attendance agreed that “those kids rock!” Breaking 27 is headed up by musical director Mark “Muddy” Dutton, the bassist for LA Guns and the Chris Robinson Brotherhood. We expect to hear more from these kids in the future!
