From the Venice Neighborhood Council:
On September 20, the Venice Neighborhood Council will hear from Google, Inc about its move to Venice. Google’s Venice Office Director, Thomas Williams, will outline Google’s move to the Frank Gehry designed “Binocular Building.” He will make his presentation at the VNC’s Board of Officers meeting starting at 7PM in the Westminster Elementary School Auditorium, located at 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd.
In other business, the VNC will hear a proposal to locate an AT&T cell tower at 737 Venice Blvd and a motion to approve the “Main Street Diet,” a plan to change the configuration of Main Street by adding bike lanes, reducing traffic lanes and adding a center median. And the VNC will vote to select two applicants, filling vacancies on the Board. Click here to read the full agenda.
Snacks and coffee will be provided at the meeting. There is no charge for this event. It is open to the public. Comments are encouraged.
