Small Plane Crashes into House in Santa Monica

Wondering what the helicopter noise is above Venice?

From CBS2:
A small single-engine plane has crashed into the back of a home just west of Santa Monica Airport.

The Cessna 172 went down under unknown circumstances shortly after takeoff at 2: 29 p.m. The pilot apparently suffered a broken leg in the crash that occurred near 21st Street and Navy, Santa Monica police said. No one on the ground was injured.

Update: The home was under construction, so no one was inside. The pilot was injured but expected to survive.
