Some of these thunderstorms could be strong…capable of producing heavy downpours…hail… Strong winds…and dangerous cloud to ground lightning.
Conditions will also be favorable for rotating storms…bringing the potential for waterspouts…isolated small tornados…and locally damaging winds. The greatest concern will be across Ventura and Los Angeles counties and the adjacent coastal waters. Behind the front…a very cold and unstable air mass will linger on Saturday into Saturday night…keeping numerous showers and a threat of thunderstorms across the region.
