The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles Sues City of LA

The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Barrett S Litt, Michael Rapkin, Scott Rapkin, Susan Millmann and Carol A. Sobel have filed a Civil Rights complaint against the City of Los Angeles on behalf of Plaintiffs Cheyenne Desertrain, Steve Jacobs-Elstein, Bradford Eckhart, Patricia Warivonchik, Leroy Butler, William Cagle and Terry Hendrickson.

Carol A. Sobel is best known for defending the First Amendment rights of performers on Hollywood Boulevard. Local merchants and residents tried to remove those performers from Hollywood Blvd. due to their constant fighting in public around children. Sobel is also a financial supporter of the The Venice Community Housing Corporation, the Venice based social service run by Susan Millmann’s “life partner” Steve Clare.

Susan Millmann is best known in Venice as the woman that unrepentantly likens people to Nazis if they support the LAPD in their enforcement of existing laws which prevent sleeping in vehicles on city streets. The fact that Millman is the “life partner” of Steve Clare of The Venice Community Housing Corporation (and Sobel a financial supporter of it) may derail this lawsuit as the judge may see it as an attempt by Millmann and Sobel to ensure a large population of homeless in Venice, of which The Venice Community Housing Corporation grants and donations are allegedly based upon.

Added information: Barrett “Barry” Litt is also a financial supporter of The Venice Community Housing Corporation.

I’m no judge or legal expert, but it would seem that if all of the Plaintiffs’s had also received assistance from The Venice Community Housing Corporation at any point in time, this lawsuit appears to be “The Venice Community Housing Corporation” and friends VS. the City of Los Angeles and the residents of Venice.
