Police officials have identified a suspect in the murder of a bride-to-be in Valley Village.
Investigators are looking for 34- year old Omar Armando Loera, a known transient who also goes by the name Arturo.
Loera is on parole after serving 23 months of a 32-month prison sentence for armed robbery.
Police say Loera could still be in the area, but it’s also possible he fled to Mexico.
Investigators say Loera was linked to the murder through DNA left at the crime scene.
The body of 34-year-old Chere Osmanhodzic was found inside her burning home in the 11500 block of Riverside Drive on July 24th.
Her fiance, Adam Culvey, told investigators he returned from the store and confronted a man inside the house, which he shared with the victim.
He chased the man several blocks and, when he returned, he says the house was on fire.
Police believe Loera brutally assaulted Osmanhodzic and then set the house set on fire to cover up the murder.
Investigators had previously released surveillance video of a man seen walking near the couple’s home around the time of the murder, however, police now say he is not the suspect.
Osmanhodzic and Culvey were set to be married in two weeks.
Anyone with more information in the case was asked to call the North Hollywood station at (818) 623-4016, or homicide detectives at (818) 623-4075.
