The Venice Community Garden

Located at 643 Mildred Avenue in a 6,000 s.f. vacant lot in the Silver Triangle, the Venice Community Garden is now accepting applications for gardeners. Plots will be 4’x12′ and cost $25 per month (includes water and insurance) and are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Each family can have up to 3 plots, and roughly 60 will be available. This is not city land, but a privately-owned lot that will be rented and as such rent is a little higher than city-owned Community Gardens.

Modeled after successful community gardens such as the Milagro Allegro Community Garden, they expect the garden to become fully subscribed. Planting is scheduled to begin by mid March after the prepping of the land is performed.
