Ride, the latest imprint from local surfer dude Jimmy V, has opened on Abbot Kinney and the always informative and fun La.Racked.com beat us to the keyboard on this one.
From Racked:
Just-opened Ride, a surf/skate shop on Abbot Kinney Boulevard, is a jewel box of a shop, helmed by a very affable, laid-back Jimmy V, who’s been surfing since he was four, grew up on the Venice canals, and continues to teach surf lessons. With exposed brick walls and constructed of recycled scrap wood, he only had to buy some glass and hardware for the small, high-ceilinged, exposed beam space. The merch includes bioform surfboards, bamboo and koa wood skateboards, and bamboo and organic cotton apparel. The koa wood skateboards are particularly good-looking, even for a non-skater. Other highlights include Landloc’d jewelry, and Bamboo Bikini crocheted bikinis.
