At 6:30 pm this evening, a fight on Ocean Front Walk near 17th Street ended with shots being fired and one male being hit. The male was transported by LAFD and is believed to be in stable condition as of 10:45 pm.

The primary LAPD units have not reported back to LAPD Pacific Division as of 10:45pm, so there has been no official news released on what transpired and Pacific had no official comment.
Venice resident and witness Mrs. Jackson, posting in the forums at Yo Venice, described the scene as such:
“My husband and I were at the skatepark when all of a sudden we saw hundreds of people running away from OFW. It looked like a human tsunami. People were screaming and running from the plaza area, running north along OFW, onto the grass and towards the sand. It was very scary. I’ve never seen anything like it before.”
