The 27th Annual Abbot Kinney Festival needs volunteers before and during this year’s event to help set up and tear down areas such as KidsQuad, assist staff with helping exhibitors and merchants, distribute festival merchandise, answer questions for attendees, and check in volunteers, performers, and exhibitors, among many other duties. Every volunteer will receive a tee shirt and a gift bag!
On Saturday, Sept. 24 (the day before the festival), volunteers can help during 9AM to 12:30 PM. On Sunday, Sept. 25 during the festival, volunteers can sign up online to be assigned to one or more of eight shifts:
6:30 AM to 10:00 AM
7:00 AM to 10:30 AM
9:30 AM to 1:00 PM
10:30 AM to 2:00 PM
12:30 PM to 4:00 PM
2:00 PM to 5:30 PM
3:30 PM to 7:00 PM
5:00 PM to 8:30 PM
On Sunday only, confirmed volunteers should check in at KidsQuad in the auditorium of Westminster Elementary School (1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice, CA 90291) unless otherwise instructed after registering online.
Primarily run by volunteers, the Abbot Kinney Festival celebrates the vibrant creativity of Venice. Grants, sponsorships, booth fees, advertising, and sales of event-run concessions and commemorative merchandise ensure the success of this FREE community event. Proceeds fund the AKFA Community Grants Program, which provides funding for programs and services by local youth and families served by Venice nonprofits.
