This Friday at 7:30pm, The G2 Gallery will be hosting a talk with the founders of xRez Studio, who are using gigapixel technology to produce super high res panoramas of gargantuan proportions, all in the service of socially meaningful projects and conservation issues. You have to see it to believe it.
xRez Studio founders Eric Hanson and Greg Downing will be speaking on their artistic process (Eric also happens to be an Associate Professor in USC’s School of Cinematic Arts) as well as social involvement. Their largest panorama, which is 27 feet long, takes up the longest continuous wall in the gallery.
G2 is requesting $5 at the door, with all proceeds directly supporting Heal the Bay.
