Marina del Rey Deputies arrest suspect involved in a string of robberies

Police are on the hunt for a man who shot someone in Venice.

Deputies from Marina del Rey station responded to a “robbery now” call at 4700 Slauson Ave. in Los Angeles at 9:50 p.m. on Dec. 26.

The suspect simulated a hand gun in his pocket and demanded money, Sgt. Amore Smith said. The Deputies arrived and arrested the suspect at the location.

After his arrest, upon further investigation, it was determined on the same day a few hours earlier, the suspect was identified as a car jacking suspect in the City of Los Angeles. LAPD was notified of the arrest.
