Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer will continue a
series of homeless citation clinics today in Venice at the Oakwood Recreation Center, 767 California Ave.
The clinics help participants remove citations and related fines from their records in exchange for taking advantage of housing and other services.
Councilmember Mike Bonin posted this on his Facebook wall this morning, “Later this morning, I am co-sponsoring a Homeless Court Clinic with City Attorney Mike Feuer and Supervisor Sheila Kuehl”
Bonin also writes, “Often, a ticket or an unresolved legal issue can force someone living on the streets into a form of economic prison, locking them into a life on the streets.”
