Benefit Fundraiser for Zelinda Mora on Saturday!

From MB Boissonnault:

On Saturday from 9am on, we will be having a fundraiser / yard sale to benefit the long-term care of 91-yr old Venetian Zelinda Mora.

Zelinda Mora

Zelinda was a dancer at Paramount studios in the 30’s + 40’s, dancing in movies with the biggest stars of the time such as Marlon Brando and Rita Hayworth. It was during this period that she moved to Cabrillo Ave., when Venice Blvd. was a dirt road and there were no streetlights. Zelinda was one of the 1st of 2 ladies to work out at Muscle Beach when only a few men were there (and she did it in a bikini and got fined 2X for it!!!)

Zelinda Mora is a true Venice classic and we’ve sadly had to move her into a home and have to sell her belongings. We’ve looked after her as neighbors for 15 years, since she has zero family members left and has been disabled for over 40 years.

We’ll be at Santa Clara Ct. and 6th Ave. from 9 a.m. on, Saturday March 29th , selling all sorts of furniture, antiques, rare books, china & glasswares, hundreds of un-opened CD’s (from the KCRW music club) and so much more. Please come by!
