From the Venice Neighborhood Council:
The Venice Neighborhood Council will hold its April Board Meeting at the Westminster Elementary School Auditorium at 6:30pm on April 16, 2013. Please note the early start time!
The Board will hear from a number of speakers involved with the proposed Overnight Parking District Settlement between the City and Coastal Commission. Agencies invited to speak on the issue include the Department of Transportation, the City Attorney’s Office, the Coastal Commission and Bill Rosendahl’s office. The OPD settlement is on the agenda for informational purposed only; questions of clarification may be asked, but general comments will not be heard. No motions concerning the OPD settlement will be voted on by the VNC Board at the April Board Meeting.
The Venice Neighborhood Council Board will also hear from and vote on motions presented by the Land Use and Planning Committee. Properties under discussion include 2 Breeze Ave. (permit to operate as a hotel), 1900 S. Lincoln (“Superba Bread Company,” a bakery and restaurant) and 1205 Abbot Kinney Blvd. (“Local 1205,” a deli selling beer and wine).
