“Farmhouse Kitchen” will be “soft” opening at 1827 Ocean Front Walk (Chicago Nick’s old location) later this week! As of now they are busy in the kitchen and don’t have a website or fixed menu to release, but we will post it when they do! The new restaurant is a partnership between Charles Turcich, who has a background in organic, sustainable farming and ranching, and Jacob Vaynshtok, well known around Venice for his work as a DJ and also with the Venice Art Crawl.
Farmhouse Kitchen will source all of their goods from local farmers markets, all of their produce will be organic and all of their meats will be pasture raised on fresh green grass.

The fare will be primarily “farm style” foods, with an emphasis on freshness and quality. Think of delicious and savory soups and stews, handmade sourdough bread, simple salads, and a mean sloppy Joe. As the menu expands and we get comfortable in the space we will expand our offerings to include such favorites as meatloaf, shepherds pie, among other things. Our goal is to make organic farm fresh food accessible to everyone, not just the ones who can afford to go to Abbot Kinney.
