Venice Beach Shopping: Petites at the Beach

Petites at the Beach: Lori Kingsnorth‘s tips for some great shopping finds around Venice!

Kid Firefly

After Firefly owner Erinn Berkson had her first child, Kid Firefly was set into motion. When 1405 Abbot Kinney became available down the street from Firefly (1409 Abbot Kinney), she went for it. Kid Firefly style is contemporary and colorful with a vintage feel. A few of the lines carried here are Egg Baby, Nui Organics and Pink Chicken.

Pebbles

Proprietor Ann named her shop Pebbles, the perfect choice for this eclectic beachy store. Strongly influenced by Latin and other wonderful cultures, Ann has stocked Pebbles with whimsically embellished clothing, much of it designed by herself. The Pebbles clothing line was launched in 2008 and a new Pebbles location has just opened in Topanga.

Innovative Baby

Store owner Erin Cloke, a mother of four, chose the term ‘innovative’ when naming her shop as she has chosen innovative items that enhance the experience of parenting. The clothing at IB has been strongly influenced by her children and their wonderfully diverse sense of style. Little garments at IB are just simply adorable, a popular item being the Kicky Pants line.
