Congresswoman Janice Hahn has requested that the US Postal Service grant moratorium status to the sale of the Venice Post Office until May 15th.
Hahn requests that the Venice Post Office “be included with the many post offices nationwide which currently enjoy moratorium status. It is my hope and belief that Congress will enact legislation to attenuate the extreme pressures facing the USPS. As Congress considers such legislation. I ask that the USPS hold off on executing its plan to close the Venice Post Office given that the closure may not be necessary if such legislation becomes law.”
