Venice Beach filmmmaker Ian Gamazon is working on a new project titled “Merchants of Venice“. The documentary will be about the Artists and Merchants at the Venice Boardwalk and their daily struggles to make a buck in these difficult times.

About the filmmakers:
Ian Gamazon’s debut film Cavite had its world premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and North American premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival in 2005. The film also played in numerous festivals including the Los Angeles Film Festival and the prestigious New Directors/New Films. Gamazon was also named in Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 new faces of Independent Cinema in 2005. Cavite continued its success and earned Gamazon the Someone To Watch Award for the 2006 Independent Spirit Award. Cavite was picked up and distributed by Magnolia Pictures.
Living In Seduced Circumstances, Gamazon’s follow-up to Cavite, world premiered at the Cinequest Film Festival in 2011 and is currently making the festival rounds. Seduced recently garnered the Narrative Feature Prize and the Outstanding Director honor at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.
Merchants of Venice is Ian Gamazon’s 4th feature film.
About the Producer:
Ms. Quynn N. Ton received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a minor in Philosophy from Loyola Marymount University, and earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law. Ms. Ton’s entertainment experiences include working in the Business & Legal Affairs department at First Look Media and Regent Entertainment. She also served as producer and legal counsel for the award winning feature film “Cavite”, which garnered filmmakers Ian Gamazon and Neil Dela Llana the 2006 ‘Someone To Watch Award’ at the Independent Spirit Awards. Ms. Ton worked alongside independent film guru Mr. John Pierson to negotiate and obtain domestic and international distribution for “Cavite”.
Ms. Ton is a co-founder at the NT ENTERTAINMENT LAW GROUP.
Ms. Ton is admitted to practice law in the state of California.
