Mari S. reports “this sign went up on Abbot Kinney near Westminster a day after the Tsunami warning in Venice. The ocean is four blocks straight ahead.”
“I think the sign was meant to go on the other side of the tree. The city apparently had the signs sitting in a warehouse somewhere and decided it was about time to put them up.”
In other Tsunami sign news, Josh J. reports that “I ride past the ‘Entering Tsunami Zone’ and “Leaving Tsunami Zone” warning signs on Brooks at Lincoln every day and last week – around the time of the tsunami warning – they disappeared. Do you know if they were stolen or officially taken down? Are there others in Venice? Are they still up or gone too?
Seems they’re necessary.”
