The concerts run from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. in the Santa Monica Pier parking lot (on the pier). All concerts are free. No alcohol is allowed. Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash. You are more than welcomed to bring your own seating but seats will be available for rental.
July 2:Playing for Change & Bushman (next generation Roots Reggae from Jamaica).
July 9: Joan Baez will be performing with special guest Tift Merrit.
July 16: Sgt. Garcia (from Spain/France) will be performing with an opening act from Ricardo Lemvo & Makina Loca (from Congo/Angola).
July 23: Le Monica Redux; We party like its 1924 and bring back the historic ballroom on the night of it’s 85th anniversary. Step onto our giant dance floor for free dance instruction preceding our live big band sets featuring top-notch swing and salsa music. This dance through the decades definitely will be on of the season’s hottest events. Squirrel Nut Zippers will be performing with an opening act from Johnny Vana & The Big Band Alumni.
July 30: Orchestra Baobab (from Senegal)
August 6: Dave Alvin & the Guilty Women will be performing with an opening act from Paul Thorn.
August 13: The Idan Raichel Project (from Isreal) will be performing with an opening act from Elijah Emanuel (Bilingual Reggae from Panama)
August 20: The Surfrider Foundation will be celebrating it’s 20th anniversary at our Twilight Dance Series. There will be a special performance by Venice with Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real as the opening act.
August 27: Lila Down with Very Be Careful (Colombian Vallenato)
