From Yo! Venice reader Laura Alice:
Tonight we are having a very important meeting to discuss our middle school choices in Venice. Below are the meeting details as well as a note from Marco Petruzzi, Parents’ Union organizer and Coeur d’Alene Elementary parent. Please spread the word. We want to have as many Venice families in attendance as possible.

**************************
Tomorrow night the Los Angeles Parents Union (LAPU) will launch a new campaign called The Parent Revolution, which will empower every parent in Los Angeles to take back our schools and give our kids the future they deserve. In Venice, the campaign has been focused on creating great middle school options for all of us. In this meeting we will show you a path to achieve just that.
All of us need to stand together and speak with one voice that — even in the midst of budget cuts and uncertainty about the future — our children must always come first.
I look forward to working together to ensure a great public education for every child in Venice, and throughout Los Angeles.
Thank you.
Marco Petruzzi
