Tonight starting at 7pm, The Venice Historical Society will host a slide show and lecture by author and historian Marc Wanamaker celebrating “movies filmed in Venice”.
From the Historical Society:
Marc, who owns Bison Archives, is a world-class expert and consultant in film history who has worked in many facets of film production, exhibition, and research for over 35 years.
He will be talking about movies shot at various Venice locations on the canals, the lagoon, the pier & the beaches. Plus, he will be showing rare photographs from Mack Sennett comedies, Touch of Evil, Our Gang movies and many, many more classic films.
The lecture & slide show will be held at the S.P.A.R.C. (Old Venice Police Department Building). Free for VHS members. $5 for non-members. Light refreshments.
