Dr. Kenny Siporin, a smiling and friendly face seen at numerous surf lineups in Venice and elsewhere over the past three decades, passed on last weekend while at his home in Malibu. Siporin, known to friends as simply “Dr. Kenny”, was 50 years old. No foul play is suspected.
Dr. Kenny’s well attended funeral service was held yesterday, “there was not a dry eye in the house.”
Friends and family will gather at sunset tomorrow evening for a paddle out and celebration of his life at Tivoli Cove in Malibu. If you can’t make it to Malibu, feel free to have a sunset surf at the Venice pier in Dr. Kenny’s honor.
In lieu on flowers, the family has asked that friends to donate to IMAHelps, an organization that was very close to Dr. Kenny’s heart.
