From City News Service:
A man’s body was found today on a beach in Santa Monica. The body was found in the area of Nielsen Way and Marine Street, near lifeguard tower 28, about 5:30 a.m., officials said. A passerby flagged down a Santa Monica parking enforcement officer and reported the discovery, said Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis.
The body of the man, apparently in his 40s, was discovered lying face down near the water’s edge, Lewis said.
“There were no obvious signs of foul play,” Lewis said.
An autopsy was pending to determine the cause of death. The man’s name was not immediately available.
