Los Angeles Arts Sustainability Tour comes to Venice

The Los Angeles Arts Sustainability Tour (LAAST), an informative and fun neighborhood event, will take place on Sat., Aug. 9 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and will be making its first stop in Venice at the Electric Lodge.

Organized by the Arts:Earth Partnership of L.A., the event will feature art and education about sustainability and will elaborate on the potent role that the arts can have in improving the health, safety, and sustainability in cities.

Attendees will be able to learn how to reduce consumption and have access to rebates and services offered by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. They will also leave more informed about multi-modal transportation, utility bills, the city sustainability plan, and native landscaping. There will be a climate film screening shown twice at 10 am and 11 am.

Ultimately, participants will able to make wise financial and environmental life choices.

Among the amenities offered at LAAST include breakfast, live entertainment, expert presentations, children’s activities, bike valet, and free sustainable giveaways such as showerheads and LED lights.

The tour’s next stop will be in November.

The Electric Lodge is located at 1416 Electric Ave. in Venice.

The tour is free of cost, but RSVP is available.
