From Fox City News:
Police on Wednesday warned the public to be “especially diligent when visiting Venice Beach this summer” because of an expected increase in stealing.
“We want to remind people not to leave items or merchandise in plain view in their vehicles,” the warning from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division read.
iPhones, other electronic devices, gym bags, laptop computers, money and Jeep Wranglers are among the items expected to be targeted, the warning read.
An increase in home burglaries while the victims are at home is underway, police said. “As the warmer months approach please keep your doors locked even when you’re inside the house,” the warning read.
