Earlier today, onetime Venice resident and musician Jim Morrison was pardoned by Florida’s Clemency Board for indecent exposure and profanity charges stemming from a March 1, 1969 performance at the Dinner Key Auditorium.
Morrison, who died in 1971, was unavailable for comment.
Florida’s Governor Charlie Crist called the convictions a “blot” on the record of an accomplished artist for “something he may or may not have done.”
