Man Shot in the Chest in Venice

Police are on the hunt for a man who shot someone in Venice.

Police are on the hunt for a man who shot a 26-year-old man in the chest outside a business in Venice on Wednesday evening, March 7. Responding to a call a 10:24 pm, multiple police cars raced from Pacific Division to Speedway and Windward Ave.

According to Lt. Joseph Sanchez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division, both suspect and victim were involved in a confrontation outside a business before the shooting occurred. The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition, Sanchez said.

Police do not know if the suspect and victim know each other and while Police have not released an official description of the shooter, witnesses said the man took off down Windward Ave., and described him as white with long curly hair, wearing a blue shirt and blue pants.
