Expect Wind

8:06am

The National Weather Service (NSW) warns of strong, gusty winds throughout the Los Angeles County coastal region. Including west Los Angeles, and Downtown, as well as the cities of Malibu, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and Long beach.

The wind advisory remains in effect from 8 pm this evening until 2 pm, tomorrow.

The NSW says to expect areas of north winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph to develop tonight. The strongest gusts are expected across malibu, the Hollywood Hills, and West Los Angeles.

Winds will shift to the northeast on Thursday, with the strongest winds focused near Malibu.

Expect dangerous gusty, cross winds. These could make driving difficult. In addition, the winds will increase the chance of downed trees and power lines, and power outages.

The NSW warns drivers should use extra caution and be prepared for sudden gusty cross winds.
