LAPD Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Package in Venice Beach

Shortly after 5pm this evening the LAPD Bomb Squad was requested at the 3000 block of Speedway to inspect a suspicious package.

While the immediate area was initially evacuated, the Bomb Squad determined that the “suspicious package” was simply a discarded part from a motor vehicle. Officer Sara Faden of LAPD Media Relations noted that there was no suspect and that the call was now a “code 4”, meaning there was “no threat”.
