The program has been initiated by the Venice Neighborhood Council, and its Environmental Committee. The Venice Neighborhood Council will bring the E-Waste truck to the Farmer’s Market regularly, depending on the needs of the Venice Community.

Interesting E-waste facts provided by ERS: Each person generates an average of 12 pounds of E-Waste per year. Only 15% of that E-Waste gets recycled. 70% of people stockpile unwanted electronics in their garage. The rest ends up in landfills taking up space and leaching toxic chemicals into the groundwater.

Electronic Recycling Solutions is a Collector of E-waste approved by the California Integrated Waste Management Board and disposes of E-waste in a manner that protects the environment.

For a complete list of items they recycle visit the website or call 818-203-1023.

What: E-Waste Recycling Program
Where: Venice Farmer’s Market, 500 N Venice Blvd. Venice, CA 90291.
When: 7:00AM-11:00AM, for the First Friday of Each Month beginning July 5
