From the Venice Neighborhood Council:
The Community Improvement Project (CIP) funding process was uniquely created by the Venice Neighborhood Council (and now widely emulated by other Neighborhood Councils across Los Angeles) in 2009. Project funding is awarded on a competitive basis to successful applicants using the project rankings of the VNC’s Neighborhood Committee as a basis. See page D of the application to learn about the seven factors used to rank the applications.
CIP funds are administered by the VNC and the Los Angeles Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and must be used between Aug. 1, 20123 and April 15, 2014.
