Joe Hood has been battling lymphoma and unfortunately relapsed this past summer. “Team Joe Hood” believes that they have found a bone marrow donor that is a potential match. Joe had a PET scan yesterday which will help the doctors determine when to do the transplant, they are leaning towards mid-December and Joe will be at City of Hope for 5-6 weeks.
This Sunday, Joe’s family and friends will host the 2nd annual “bike rally and raffle for Joe Hood”. The group will meet at Windward and Ocean Front Walk at 10am and ride to the Santa Monica Pier. Raffle tickets are $5 each and there are a lot of prizes including a beach cruiser from Bike Attack! Nearly two years of illness has really been a financial hardship for the family so they hope that the raffle will help get them through the time he is at City of Hope!
