Ari Bhöd Sand Mandala of Chenrezig: November 3rd-18th!

While this event is taking place in Tehachapi, it is being organized in part by Venice residents! Check it out, it is free to attend!

From the Ari Bhöd’s Retreat Center:

Traditionally trained Tibetan Lama/Artists, Venerable Gelong Kalsang Rinpoche, Venerable Lama Nawang Thogmed (Master Artist), Lama Sampten Lhundrup and Lama Kalsang Dorje will create a sand mandala representing boundless compassion, infused with the intention and blessings to foster healing and the development of positive qualities such as lovingkindness.

Ari Bhöd: Sand Mandala of Chenrezig

A sand mandala is a sacred sand painting following precise and ancient instructions. Millions of grains of colored sand will be sprinkled carefully on a flat surface in the context of an elaborate two-week ceremony at Pema Drawa in Tehachapi California, just two hours outside of Los Angeles.

Daily Viewing Hours: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Lunch Break: 1- 2:30 PM
Chenrezig Evening Practice (all are welcome): 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM

Sunday, November 18th: Dissolution Ceremony
Chenrezig Practice & Tsok Offering: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Sweeping of the Sand/ Dissolution Procession: 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
