Venice Action just sent out an email saying that “Linda Lucks calls on Mayor Villaraigosa to Provide Waste Management Services for Homeless People in Los Angeles”.
That is all fine and dandy, except Linda Lucks is a member of Venice Action, the head of the Venice Neighborhood Council, and allegedly walks around Venice bragging that she helped get Villaraigosa elected and that Councilman Bill Rosendahl has issues with her because she is “Villaraigosa’s Girl”. Heck, Mayor Villaraigosa had dinner at her house a couple of weeks ago. What is up with the Venice Action statement? Is it a sign of what is to come?
Mayor Villaraigosa: you ought to think long and hard about providing waste management to the homeless in Venice. It is starting to seem like there may be some serious backroom scandal going down in Venice in regard to the homeless and social service providers. Hundreds of millions of dollars are on the line, right? Obama money?
The people of Venice DO NOT WANT you to enable these RV dwelling LAWBREAKERS.
At the end of the day there is one simple fact that can not be dismissed. The RV’s are breaking law 85.02. The city should not be going into the waste management business just to help these people break the law.
