Every year at Easter, pet shops fill up with adorable bunnies for sale. Most of them come from breeders who are concerned with profit, not the health of the pet–in other words, rabbit mills. Studies say that 95% of all rabbits adopted at Easter are dumped. While the typical life expectancy is five years, rabbits can live 15 years when properly cared for and are not a seasonal gift. Bunnies are a pet for life, not just an Easter basket treat.
Each bunny featured on our cam is available for adoption from the PetSave Foundation and their Rabbitat (located at www.petsave.org). They have over 100 rabbits available for adoption.
