Bubble Lounge moves to The Garter

Garter Flier

I apologize for getting this out late in the day – but, I received this email regarding The Bubble Lounge earlier in the week…

Hello Keri,

YoVenice was kind enough to let everyone know about Bubble Lounge at the Brigg in Venice. The event has moved from the Brigg to The Garter for their first night to be this Wednesday Jan 28 at 10:00 PM. A much more appropriate, upbeat venue for a night that deserves some dancing. They will be serving some delicious gourmet pizzas all night to kick off the move. Though primarily a gay and lesbian centered night, the main goal is to spread diversity and bring everyone together to have fun.

The fabulous promoter Lauran Hoffman ( Bar Girls, 1994) wanted to make sure that Yo Venice knew about the move as they have been very helpful in getting people in the door. Please let me know if I can get you further information. A video announcement has been posted at www.auxpr.com, please check it out and let me know if here is anything you can do to help get the word out.

Ok the word is out!  I have been to the Bubble Lounge a few times (The Brig is my closest bar) and it’s always been so fun – I can’t wait to see what it’s like in the new space!

  1. so… we tried to go to the garter saturday night. we waited in line for about half an hour, after being told the fire marshals have been showing up to close them down for capacity violations recently. i don’t mind waiting to support a local business. i do mind, however, when a man pushed his way in front of a girl in front of us and when she complained, told her to “shut the [email protected]#$ up before I do something about it” then shoved her. her boyfriend complained to Isaac the bouncer, who did nothing. after watching that happen, we will never go back to that place again, local business or not. it’s not worth it.
