Venice Leap Day Baby Leaping Lee

6:11am

Venice has a very special new arrival, Leap Day baby, Leaping Lee.

Leaping Lee Venice Leap Day Baby

Lee Candalaria White was the very first Leap Day 2016 baby girl, born at 12:20am on Monday morning February 29th.

Her parents, Teresa and Evan White, the man behind the Venice Boardwalk App, named baby Lee after Teresa’s grandmother Candalaria. The name is derived from the Spanish word candela, or candle in English, and little Leaping Lee is certainly a light in the White’s lives.

Leaping Lee won’t officially get to celebrate her next February 29th birthday for another 4 years however Dady Evan says he and Teresa plan to celebrate next year on March 1, “because she wasn’t around yet on Feb 28th”
